Mazda renewed in Thailand to the pickup BT-50, giving it a new front that closer to the range of products of the Japanese brand passenger lines. There are no changes in the mechanical, although slightly improving the equipment. Currently there are no data on their arrival in Country.
Mazda Motor Corporation has announced that production of the new BT-50 on the ground that the brand has in Thailand, known as Auto Alliance (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (AAT). Mazda plans to start introducing the model redesigned from the second half of 2015, beginning with Thailand and Australia markets.
The new design incorporates a front lines less moves than in the current model, new optical both front and rear, and redesigned alloy wheels. In addition, inside has also been refined to give a feeling of greater quality. For the first time, the model features a camera as optional equipment.
In mechanical terms, there was no change with one nafta and other two diesel, all shared with the Ford Ranger. The first is a 2.488 cc Duratec iVCT 16v with 163 HP. The transmission is a five-speed manual. The less powerful diesel is a 2.2 liters with 150 hp. The box is a sixth manual.
The third plant promoter, is the MZ-CD five-cylinder 20v TDCI 3.198 cc of displacement eTGV delivered 200 HP at 3,000 rpm, making it the most powerful pickup segment, together with the Ford.Su of transmission can be manual or automatic, sequential, both cases of six relations.
Currently Uruguay Mazda has not announced if this renewal will reach Uruguay this year, or if we have to wait until 2016 to see it on our streets. Possibly in the next few months we'll have more news in this regard.
