Martha A. George. Mercedes Benz. May 15th , 2017.
In the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz presented the new C Class Coupé, while Mercedes-AMG will do the same with his "vitaminada" version. But before all that, you have to fire the C63 AMG Coupé, and what better with a limited edition to 10 units rather striking.
Goodbyes are hard, always. And more when someone (or something) dear. In this case, as this is not Caricars "People looking people" talk about cars. And dismiss some models of production lines is almost as painful as watching from a friend. Or no, I could not measure it well, I think. Do not judge me, the petrolheads are like that.
But in an era where the famous and praised downsizing is taking the automotive industry for assault, watching from a V8 aspirated engine is a pain in the soul for many. Mercedes-Benz was able to make its 6.2 V8 AMG engine almost a cult object in the universe and engine in a short time, and finally say goodbye forever.
To do so with great fanfare, the German brand decided to dismiss his latest sports coupe today aspirated engine with a limited edition of just ten units worldwide. It's called C63 AMG Coupé Legacy Edition and unlike what many think will not be sold in Germany alone. Oh, no ... I do not even see in Europe. Its production will be limited exclusively to South Africa.
If you seek to differentiate one of these other C63 AMG Legacy Edition, the task will be as simple as one table. Body in specific color Viper Green, alloy wheels 19 "polished combined with red calipers. Inside take an engraved plaque pray which of the ten units will was fortunate. It is essential to preserve this detail in good condition, especially when in a few years this AMG quoted in the best auctions.
Mechanically the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupé takes Legacy Edition based on a C 63 AMG Coupe Edition 507, which carries the (quasi now legendary) 6.2 V8 achieving nothing less than 507 horsepower. The pair reached a brutal 610 Nm, and instead returned an average consumption of 12 l / 100 km, which honestly does not matter to anyone.
Achieves 0-100 km / h in 4.2 seconds, and the maximum is 280 km / h. The box is the AMG Speedshift MCT-7 and to detain such mechanical strength, uses composite brakes. No more, we say goodbye to AMG M156, also known as the "6.2 AMG" or more affectionately, the "heart of Stuttgart beast". Auf Wiedersehen.
